Orbital Synchronization Calculator

Version 1.10
Coded by Sky Render

How to Use: Simply select the body you wish to perform orbital synchronization calculations on from the drop-down list, then pick the resonance you wish to place your craft in. Example: If you wanted a 2:3 resonance, enter 2 into Numerator and 3 into Denominator.

Using Synchronization Factor: Enter how many satellites you will be placing in the given synchronous orbit. Place all of your satellites as a single craft in an initial orbit with the apoapsis at the synchronous orbit height, then adjust the periapsis so that your orbit's overall period is either at the Synchronization Factor's value or the Counter-Sync Factor. Once this is done, separate the satellites and adjust their orbits one by one as they return to apoapsis. This will give you perfectly even spacing between all of your satellites in that orbit when you are finished. You can also place your satellites initially in an orbit with a periapsis of the synchronous orbit height and set the period to the orbital period plus synchronization factor, but this ends up using extra delta-V as compared to the other two methods.
